We are a West Australian based company established in 1987. Since then the company has expanded and progressively and gained extensive experience in all aspects of the container service and handling industry
Our Story
We at Container Refrigeration are a container supply and service industry leader with operations in Western Australia and Northern Territory. We have over 32 years of history in supplying and servicing all containers and affiliated products.
This second-generation family-owned company started in 1987 and has since developed a reputable standing within the industry. Over the years we have become well known for our transparent approach to our business and customer service. Our reputation means everything to us and our repeat and referral business are testimony to this.
At Container Refrigeration we are committed to providing a superior and unique container service for all of our clients. We specialise in container hire, sales, parts, transport and logistics, design, modification, installation, service, and maintenance of all types of containers and affiliated products.

A Timeline
1987
• Container Refrigeration commenced business with its first office on Bracks Street, Fremantle 6159.
• Operated as a refrigerated container service company for the shipping industry.
• Fun fact: Phil Robbins sanded and refurbished the floor in the first office.
1990
- First container purchased.
- Expanded operations by opening our first shipping container depot at Swan Street, Fremantle.
- We provided refrigeration services to large shipping container companies and other clients.
1994
- Relocated to our second depot at the old Westrail land in Hamilton Hill,6163.
- We operated for 8 years at this location.
- Initially rented, later purchased the land when it became part of the Rob Jetty Industrial Development.
- After the government rezoned the area to residential, we were on the hunt for a new larger premises.
2002
- Relocated to the corner of Rous Head Road and Sultan Way, Rous Head North Fremantle
- We continued work servicing the large shipping container companies however having a larger workshop we quickly expanded business activities. (sales & hires) with a strong focus on container customisation and innovation
2018 – Today
- Began relocation from Rous Head.
- Established at Keegan Street, O’Connor, 6163 — current headquarters.

Container Refrigeration is dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact. In 2025, we were honored with the Environmental Stewardship Excellence Award. This award is given to Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (RTA) holders whose businesses are fully compliant, as verified by ARC field officers. The award acknowledges an exceptional commitment to environmental stewardship by achieving 100% regulatory compliance with RTA requirements.
